Why does my grout get so dirty?

ShareThis
Grout is no different than any other surface and must be maintained regularly to keep it looking good. Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning of Denver reminds you that one way to help it look great is to seal it. There are two types of sealers, penetrating and membrane. Penetrating sealers are absorbed into the grout and should last 2-3 years depending on how much use the area gets. Membrane sealers do as the name says and just create a membrane over the grout. Membrane sealers need to be reapplied every 1-3 years, or whenever the membrane starts to fail. Remember, before applying a sealer, always thoroughly clean the grout first, and be careful to apply the sealer only to the grout if your tile is unsealed as it can stain the tile. posted: April 9, 2012 - Heaven's Best Denver Carpet Cleaners - Blog
